New Year, Same Market.

Will the market change?

With the new year here, nothing has changed in the real estate world. Home prices are still up but interest rates have dropped. Please really analyze what I just said. There are tons of aspects to look at when shopping for a home. How long homes in your general area are staying on the market is one of those aspects. The longer its listed for, chances are the seller is more inclined to take a low ball offer. Thats not to say you will run into sellers who do not care how long their home sits for.

In the type of market we are currently in, its quite beneficial towards both the seller and the buyer. Many people become confused when they hear agents refer to buyers markets or vice versa sellers markets. Just like any tangible good, real estate is always a great asset to acquire and sell. Its up to the marketing to dictate how it sells and when and its up to the negotiations and know how to dictate how it is bought. It is a very simple process, its just we see a large number and become frightened. Which is normal in our nature, it can be your largest investment to date. There its no crystal ball that will tell you and me when to do so. Its up to you, when you are ready. Real estate is a rollercoaster, it goes up and it goes down, but just know, it never stays down.
